Collings Park

Forest Rising, a youth environmental action group, received support through Neighbourwood to design and deliver a tree planting scheme in Collings Park. The scheme includes an interactive mural for young people, a community orchard, natural play equipment and an accessible path. 

The design aim is to enhance foraging opportunities for local communities and encourage nature connectedness for young people in the park. The fruit trees included pears, plums, apples and damsens. The group also planted a variety of fruit bushes such as gooseberries and blackberries.
